Greetings one and all

Onother great mission was had over the August Bank holiday, with members of the RDC arriving at the Claymills Victorian Pumping Station. With its two working beam engines (the second pair awaiting restoration) we were delighted by the very warm welcome we recieved, with even her Majesty Empress of India, Queen Victoria, cutting our cake and congratulating us on a fabulous Punknic. The punknic was delivered by the newly named 'Punknic express' and was enjoyed by all, including many of the volunteers.

Some lucky members given the honour of starting the mighty beam engines, whilst some of the coglings were allowed to start some of the stationery engines.

It was a wonderful dayout, spent with excellent company with some wonderful things to see and do. We have already been discussing a re-visit next year, One I will not be missing.
Once a date has been agreed, it will be added to the events page.
